AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE MISSISSIPPI HOME CORPORATION TO ESTABLISH A NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM (NHRP) IN MUNICIPALITIES TO PRESERVE AND IMPROVE OWNER-OCCUPIED PROPERTIES AND BRING PROPERTIES UP TO APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES AND STANDARDS; TO DIRECT THE MISSISSIPPI HOME CORPORATION TO ESTABLISH THIS PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH FEDERAL AGENCY PROGRAMS WITH AVAILABLE FUNDS; TO CREATE THE NHRP SPECIAL FUND IN THE STATE TREASURY; TO REQUIRE A REPORT TO THE LEGISLATURE; TO AMEND SECTION 43-33-717, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, IN CONFORMITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
