AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-61-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT WHERE ANY PUBLIC BODY IS PREPARING OR CONDUCTING A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT, THE TIME LIMITATIONS FOR PRODUCTION SHALL BE TOLLED UNTIL THE PUBLIC BODY DETERMINES IT WILL NOT ISSUE THE PROCUREMENT, CANCELS THE PROCUREMENT OR ISSUES A NOTICE NAMING ITS INTENDED AWARDEE; TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 25-61-9, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, FOR THE PURPOSE OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
