AN ACT TO BE KNOWN AS THE "MISSISSIPPI EDUCATOR DYSLEXIA AWARENESS ACT OF 2017"; TO REQUIRE ALL EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS IN THE STATE TO OFFER TRAINING IN DYSLEXIA AWARENESS EDUCATION BEGINNING IN THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR; TO REQUIRE CANDIDATES FOR AN UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE DEGREE IN EDUCATION TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING; TO ESTABLISH CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRAINING; TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 37-3-2, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PRESCRIBES REQUIREMENTS FOR TEACHER AND ADMINISTRATOR LICENSES, FOR PURPOSES OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
