AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION, ACTING ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE MISSISSIPPI RECOVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT, TO CONSOLIDATE TWO OR MORE FAILING SCHOOL DISTRICTS INTO A REGIONAL SUPER SCHOOL DISTRICT; TO ESTABLISH THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED TO EFFECTUATE SUCH A CONSOLIDATION; TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 37-17-6, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH ESTABLISHES THE MISSISSIPPI RECOVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE OVERSIGHT OF ALL SCHOOL DISTRICTS UNDER CONSERVATORSHIP, FOR PURPOSES OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
