AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AN ELECTION UPON PETITION OF 20% OF THE ELECTORS OF A COUNTY TO PERMIT OR PROHIBIT THE SALE OF WINE AT CERTAIN RETAIL FOOD STORES WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES IN THE COUNTY; TO AMEND SECTION 67-1-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DEFINE THE TERM "RETAIL FOOD STORE"; TO AMEND SECTION 67-1-51, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE TO ISSUE RETAIL FOOD STORE WINE ONLY RETAILER'S PERMIT THAT AUTHORIZES THE HOLDER THEREOF TO SELL WINE AT RETAIL AT A RETAIL FOOD STORE IN ORIGINAL SEALED AND UNOPENED, PACKAGES NOT TO BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES WHERE SOLD; TO AMEND SECTION 27-71-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THE LICENSE TAX REQUIRED FOR RETAIL FOOD STORE WINE ONLY RETAILER'S PERMITS; TO AMEND SECTIONS 67-1-41, 67-1-75, 67-1-83 AND 67-1-85, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, IN CONFORMITY THERETO; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
