AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-3-13, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IS AUTHORIZED TO VOTE FOR AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE SALARIES OF ITS MEMBERS; TO PROVIDE THAT THE ADJUSTMENT SHALL NOT BE GREATER THAN FIVE PERCENT EACH YEAR FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR YEARS; TO PROVIDE THAT IF THE BOARD DOES ADJUST ITS SALARY AS AUTHORIZED BY THIS SUBSECTION, IT SHALL DO SO BY WAY OF A SINGLE ACTION NO LATER THAN THE FIRST MONDAY IN AUGUST 2013; TO PROVIDE THAT SUCH ADJUSTMENT SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IN THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2013 AND EACH YEAR THEREAFTER FOR A TOTAL OF FOUR YEARS; TO AMEND SECTIONS 9-1-43, 19-19-8, 19-25-31, 23-15-153, 25-3-3, 25-3-13, 25-3-25, 25-7-13, 25-7-27, 41-61-59 AND 41-61-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE OTHER COUNTY OFFICIALS TO ADJUST THEIR COMPENSATION, SALARIES AND FEES IN THE SAME PERCENTAGE AMOUNT AS THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, IF SUCH SUPERVISORS ADJUSTS THEIR SALARIES AS REQUIRED BY THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
