AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-11-111, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO INCREASE TO TEN YEARS THE NUMBER OF YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP SERVICE REQUIRED TO VEST IN THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR PERSONS WHO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE SYSTEM ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 2010; TO INCREASE TO SIXTY-FIVE YEARS OF AGE THE AGE OF RETIREMENT FOR PERSONS WHO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE SYSTEM ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 2010; TO INCREASE TO THIRTY YEARS THE NUMBER OF YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE REQUIRED FOR RETIREMENT REGARDLESS OF AGE FOR PERSONS WHO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE SYSTEM ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 2010; TO AMEND SECTIONS 25-11-103, 25-11-105, 25-11-109, 25-11-113, 25-11-114, 25-11-115, 25-11-117, 25-11-311 AND 25-11-315, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CONFORM TO THE PRECEDING PROVISIONS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
