AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE SHALL DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN A LIST OF ENGINEERS LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN THIS STATE WHOSE SERVICES MAY BE USED TO ASSIST IN DETERMINING WHETHER WIND OR WATER CAUSED PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT IS THE BASIS OF A CLAIM FILED BY AN INSURED AGAINST AN INSURER; TO PROVIDE THAT IF AN INSURER OR INSURED DESIRES TO USE THE SERVICE OF AN ENGINEER FOR SUCH PURPOSES, ONLY ENGINEERS ON THE DEPARTMENT'S LIST MAY BE USED AND THE INSURED SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELECT THE ENGINEER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
