AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 71-3-27, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT AN EMPLOYER OR ITS WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURER IS RESPONSIBLE ONLY FOR MAKING PAYMENT FOR MEDICAL BILLS DIRECTLY TO THE MEDICAL PROVIDER IF AN ILLEGAL ALIEN IS INJURED ON THE JOB, AND TO PROHIBIT PAYMENT TO AN ILLEGAL ALIEN CLAIMANT OR DEPENDENT FOR INDEMNITY OR DEATH BENEFITS RELATED TO AN INJURY ON THE JOB EXCEPT IN CERTAIN INSTANCES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
