AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT IF A BILL OR RESOLUTION IS INTRODUCED IN THE LEGISLATURE THAT WOULD CREATE OR IMPACT A STATE TAX OR FEE, THE LEGISLATIVE BUDGET OFFICE SHALL PREPARE A TAX EQUITY NOTE THAT ESTIMATES THE GENERAL EFFECTS OF THE PROPOSAL ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF TAX AND FEE BURDENS AMONG INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES; TO PROVIDE THAT THE NOTE SHALL BE ATTACHED TO THE BILL OR RESOLUTION BEFORE A COMMITTEE VOTE MAY BE TAKEN ON THE BILL OR RESOLUTION; TO PROVIDE THAT A TAX EQUITY NOTE SHALL BE PREPARED ON ANY AMENDMENTS FROM THE OTHER HOUSE TO A BILL OR RESOLUTION FOR WHICH A TAX EQUITY NOTE WAS REQUIRED, BEFORE ANY VOTE MAY BE TAKEN ON THE AMENDMENTS ON THE FLOOR IN THE ORIGINATING HOUSE; TO PROVIDE THAT A TAX EQUITY NOTE SHALL BE PREPARED ON ANY CONFERENCE REPORT ON A BILL OR RESOLUTION FOR WHICH A TAX EQUITY NOTE WAS REQUIRED, BEFORE ANY VOTE MAY BE TAKEN ON THE CONFERENCE REPORT ON THE FLOOR OF EITHER HOUSE; TO PROVIDE THAT THE TAX EQUITY NOTES SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE LEGISLATURE'S BILL STATUS WEB SITE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
