AN ACT TO CREATE THE "DELTA CULTURAL HERITAGE DEVELOPMENT FUND" AS A SPECIAL FUND IN THE STATE TREASURY; TO PROVIDE THAT MONIES IN THE FUND SHALL BE USED TO MAKE FUNDS AVAILABLE TO THE DELTA CENTER FOR CULTURE AND LEARNING AT DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS TO PROCURE FEDERAL GRANTS THAT MAY BE USED IN SUPPORT OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF CULTURAL ARTS AND HERITAGE TOURISM IN THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA REGION; TO PROVIDE THAT THE DELTA CENTER FOR CULTURE AND LEARNING AT DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY SHALL CONSULT WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE MISSISSIPPI BLUES COMMISSION AND THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA TOURISM ASSOCIATION WHEN DETERMINING THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH TO EXPEND FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE TO IT UNDER THIS ACT; TO REQUIRE FUNDING TO BE APPROPRIATED TO THE DELTA CULTURAL HERITAGE DEVELOPMENT FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
