AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL CENTER SHALL ESTABLISH, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS BY LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION, AN OBESITY CLINIC IN THE DELTA TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM OF THE HIGH RATE OF OBESITY IN MISSISSIPPI; TO PROVIDE THAT THE CLINIC SHALL PROVIDE BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT SERVICES, AND SHALL PROVIDE TREATMENT TO PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
